Goal of the Artist Exchange is to be an outlet for the exchange of creativity and artistic expression between artists through a voluntary exchange of works, exposing each artist to the work and ideas of their peers.
Basics:
Each artist mails in their works by the postal due date in order to arrive by the cut off date. Along with the artwork(s) each artist must include a completed entry form and a BLANK (non addressed) 9 x 12 envelope.
Upon receipt of the artwork to be exchanged it will be posted with Name, Date received, and number of entries on the ArtCafe ArtBoards, alerting all the work(s) arrived. The works are than inventoried and safely stored until the cut off date when they are sorted and mailed out to their new homes. The new artwork should be received by the end of the month following the cut off date.
The entry form will have your postal mailing address for which address labels will be generated and applied to the blank stamped envelope of the new art you will be returned in exchange for the art you had sent in. You will receive back a number of entries equal to what you sent in.
At this time there is no charge for the return postage, handling et al involved in the Artists Exchange. We dropped the pre-stamped part due to the international participants.
*NOTE We will begin including digitally sent in files and print outs as part of the exchanges on certain projects, so do read the actual project guidelines to see if it is physically mailed or emailed in.
